Quality
1997 – Our plants’ Quality Management System is certified by the global certification body R.I.N.A., in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard. This standard establishes the requirements and principles essential for efficient business management, encompassing a strong customer focus, active engagement of top management, a process-driven approach, and ongoing improvement.
Sustainability
2001 – The global provider of certifications R.I.N.A. attests for our plants the Environmental Management System according to the UNI EN ISO 14001 legal standard. This certification is an instrument that testifies to the adoption of an environmental protection policy; it leads to improvements in the environmental system and consequently in the company’s ability to reduce to zero the production impact.
2013 –Steel Color was admitted to a call for proposals issued by the Italian Ministry for the Environment to fund a project focused on analyzing the Carbon Footprint of selected products. Participation in the program represents an ambitious voluntary commitment aimed at contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the Kyoto Protocol and the “Climate and Energy Package” adopted by the Council of the European Union in 2008.
2015 – Steel Color obtained the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD®) with success. It is a document that describes the environmental impacts from a specific quantity of products analyzing the Life Cycle Assessment and the consumption of resources used.

Safety
2011 – The global certification body R.I.N.A. certifies our plants’ Health and Safety Management System in accordance with the OHSAS 18001 standard. This high-value certification confirms that the company has implemented and maintains a management system compliant with regulatory and legislative requirements regarding workplace health and safety.
OHSAS 18001 was replaced by ISO 45001 in 2018. Steel Color is committed to keeping its management system continuously updated in line with the latest international standards.
Energy
2018 – The global certification body R.I.N.A. certifies our plants’ Energy Management System in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 50001 standard.
This certification establishes the systems and processes needed to improve energy performance. Careful and systematic energy management helps reduce operational costs while making a valuable contribution to the protection of global energy resources.
To ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health & safety, and energy standards, the company undergoes annual surveillance audits as well as periodic recertification audits.
Finance
2017 – Steel Color obtained the ELITE certificate, an international service platform created through the collaboration of Borsa Italiana and key Italian institutions. ELITE supports outstanding companies in implementing their growth and development projects by providing access to an international network, diverse financing opportunities, and dedicated training.
